Hello, I'm Azealia911 and I'll be reviewing this good article nomination. I'll be posting my review soon. Azealia911 talk 13:08, 8 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

General comments

[edit]
  • All dates should be DMY, not MDY.

Lead and infobox

[edit]
  • Per lead guidelines, anything sourced later in the article can be unsourced in the lead.
  • Remove the (see release history).
  • Use {{Flatlist}} for the 'Genre' parameter, like you've done with the 'Label' parameter.
  • Alphabetize the writers by last name.
  • Remove the external music video, this will be added in the 'External links' section (see below comments).
  • [[Romania|Romanian]][[Romanians|Romanian]]
  • "vocalist" → "recording artist"
  • "second studio album titled Unlocked (2014)." → "sophomore studio album, Unlocked (2014)."
  • "July 16, 2014, and it has been released as the album's third track." → "16 July 2014, as the album's third single."
  • When listing the writers, start off with Stan, then alphabetize the rest by last name.
  • "on Stan's YouTube channel" → "on Stan's YouTube channel on 18 July 2014,"
  • "has amassed" → "has since amassed"
  • "performing different dance moves" → "performing choreographed dances"
  • "The choreography was choreographed by Romanian dancer Emil Rengle." → "The dances were choreographed by Romanian performer Emil Rengle."
  • "The recording was met with good reviews." needs sourcing or removed.
  • Digial Journal shouldn't be italicized.
  • Tour names aren't italicized.
  • Remove "It was also the opening song for Kontor's compilation album Kontor Top of the Clubs 2014.04.[6]" all together, it seems irrelevant unless the compilation album was majorly successful.
  • If the Zip FM chart isn't an official chart of Japan, and just a radio stations' chart, remove "The recording also topped the airplay-based Zip FM Year-end chart and was named the most aired song of 2014 on their radio station."

Composition

[edit]
  • Per WP:NFCC #8, any non-free content should only be used if it helps readers significantly understand the topic better. Please explain how the sound clip is vital to the articles context.
  • Remove ""Dance" was written by Alexandru Cotoi, Alexandra Stan, Mika Moupondo, Lee Anna McCollum, Cosmin Basasteanu and Erik Lidbom, while production was handled by both Cotoi and Lidbom." We've seen it in the lead and the infobox.
  • ""Dance" is a dance number, also containing house music influences." → ""Dance" is a dance track, also incorporating house music influences into it's sound."
  • "but features also" → "but also features"
  • "Digital Journal pointed" → "Markos Papadatos from Digital Journal pointed"
  • Remove "("In my dreams you're falling, you're falling, you're falling down / I'm breaking, I'm breaking your rules / I really believe you can try and change your ways / By the time you'll know I'm gonna take your hand / Won't let you go / We'll lose our mind / We'll lose our mind.")" per WP:NOTLYRICS.
  • Remove the quotation marks around "rebellious", "positive" and "optimistic", they can be paraphrases not quotes.
  • "Furthermore, they compared" → "He also compared"

Critical response

[edit]
  • ""Dance" was compared to David Guetta (pictured)." → ""Dance" was compared to the work of David Guetta."
  • "dance dance/ And fall" → "dance dance / and fall"
  • "with friends/ let's start" → "with friends / let's start"
  • You don't need to repeatable cite the same reference in one paragraph, remove all citings of the Digital Journal source except from the last use of it.
  • "went on saying that" → "went on to say that"
  • "Everythingexpress described" → "Everythingexpress writer Robin Catling described"
  • "They criticised" → "He critisised"
  • "predecessor titled "Cherry Pop"" → "predecessor, "Cherry Pop""

Track listings and formats

[edit]
  • You can remove "and formats" from the title, all of these are of the same format, digital download.
  • I'd switch the two columns, it strikes me as odd to have a Spanish remix EP listed before the single.
  • There doesn't need to be white space between the headings and their references.

Credits and personnel

[edit]
  • Unlink 'Recorded'.

Charts

[edit]
  • Please use ! scope="row"| for each listing
  • As I said in my comments on the lead, if the Zip Atem Hot 100 in not the official chart of Japan, which I suspect it isn't, it should be removed, which would meant the year-end column would also be removed.
I think we shouldn't remove it, as it is a very popular radio station in Japan. Also, Stan frequently performs at their party, and she got a Gold disc for the reaching of number 1 with "Dance".
No, it needs to be removed. Charts need to be recognized as official charts to the country, and Japan already has two officially recognized charts (Oricon and Japan Hot 100). The fact that she's so involved with the station makes it even more inappropriate to list this provider.

Release history

[edit]
  • Please use ! scope="row"| for each listing
  • With only 6 listings, I see no benfit of having the table sortable, please make it unsortable.
  • Dates should be DMY.
  • Unlink everything in the 'Format' column

References

[edit]
  • Remove all quotation marks in reference titles and replace them with apostrophes (EG "Dance"'Dance') to avoid double quote marks.
  • change the publisher = to work = for things such as YouTube, iTunes, Digital Journal, Direct Lyrics, K Fetele, Everythingexpress. Do the same for Bravo and remove the italics marks.
  • Remove all of the countries after iTunes Store, they're irrelevant.
  • #6 - Unlink YouTube.
  • #10 - Link iTunes Store.
  • # - publisher=iTunes Store (Spain)work=iTunes Store
[edit]
  • Please create a section titled 'External links', in it you can include Stan's template {{Alexandra Stan}}, links to the official YouTube video and lyrics. You can use Heavy Metal and Reflective as an example if you're stuck.
