Needs work

[edit]

Currently, this article has lots of wikilinks with very little information connecting them. It needs sectioning and fleshing out. Whyaduck 04:59, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nationality

[edit]

This website claims Dana Wynter is British. The Wiki article claims she is "German/American". --90.208.144.100 (talk) 16:58, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

She was born in Germany, raised and presumably nationalized in Britain. But now lives in the US and Ireland. Take your choice. Wolfram.Tungsten (talk) 21:53, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

/* Nationality */ She is definitely German. She left Germany during WWII with her father, Peter because of association with being a German-Jew(mother left behind, in sacrifice for them) that's also why the change in the spelling. -Reliable source as grand-daughter of her cousin, Friedrun. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.251.114.229 (talk) 04:45, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No! She is a british Jewish Girl. Her Father was a Jew and left Nazi Germany. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.246.215.52 (talk) 21:38, 12 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Not Jewish at all! Neither parent Jewish, parents didn't leave Germany because of persecution but for opportunity. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.106.79.218 (talk) 18:42, 30 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Lifting

[edit]

The majority of the article appears to be a direct lift from her bio at IMDB.com. Even assuming it isn't direct copyright infringement (I don't know IMDB policy, or what source they used / stole from), should that kind of copying be allowed? Wolfram.Tungsten (talk) 21:53, 6 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Winter/Wynter

[edit]

So, her father was a Winter who used the name Wynter. And she was born Winter but used the name Wynter. It seems odd that a parent who'd changed his name to Wynter would still call his child Winter. That must have led to colossal confusion. I question the veracity of this. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 20:48, 7 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And now the header says she was born Winter and infobox says Wynter. 82.141.119.19 (talk) 05:14, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Through a Glass Darkly

[edit]

The link doesn't go to the correct page.

I'm unable to figure out which of these ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Through_a_Glass_Darkly ) might be correct, but she certainly wasn't in a 2008 all-male musical, back before 1951.
