Acid
[edit]Almost certainly sulfuric acid rather than sulfurous. Sulfuric acid is both far more corrosive, and far easier to obtain, in drain cleaners like Liquid-Plumr. Sulfurous acid is mainly used in the chemical laboratory. Even if a press notice says it was sulfurous acid, it is very probably in error. Tex 23:54, 11 August 2006 (UTC)
I agree with Tex - I think it was sulfuric acid as well, as I doubt that sulfurous acid would have been that caustic. But nonetheless, it was reported as sulphurous, so ... Elb2000 00:07, 12 August 2006 (UTC)elb2000
