Poynter is sending out Spam emails on a regular basis
[edit]It is important to mention Poynter's relentless email spam that is designed to undercut spam filters. He also does not respond to requests to be removed from his email lists. I will edit the main article to include this practise. Werner 18:54, 13 October 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by In the known (talk • contribs)
- That will require a citation from a Reliable Source. Boneyard90 (talk) 19:23, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
This has been my own experience for some years with weekly emails that no spam filter can stop. I will now forward Poynter's spam to engineers at TalkTalk Business and will await their comments/confirmation, which should be a reliable source given that TalkTalk is one of the leading internet providers in the UK. Further details on Poynter's spamming Activities
[edit]Anyone receiving regular emails will find evidence when opening up the 'source' information of his emails. Where normally one would find a sender and return pather Poynter's emails will contain a lot more information indicating that he uses a bulk email service that is hidden under the name of Dan Poynter. The following information is an extract from a normal message source, a message received on 23rd of October 2012:
From: Dan Poynter <DanPoynter@ParaPublishing.com> Sender: Dan Poynter <DanPoynter=ParaPublishing.com@m20.madmimi.com> Message-Id: <50867cf0946d_5ee896512c1454a2@worker9.madmimi.managedmachine.com.tmail> Subject: =?utf-8?B?UHVibGlzaGluZyBQb3ludGVycyAtIE5vdmVtYmVyIDEsIDIwMTI=?= Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: multipart/alternative; boundary=mimepart_50867cf0a781_5ee896512c145565 Precedence: bulk Mimiaid: 256222879672809287
This source extract shows that Poynter is using a service called Madmimi.com, furthermore the first part of the sender part (see above) contains the information 'm20'. So if you copy the whole part a spamblocker will block it but this does not mean that Dan Poynter's spam will stop because Poynter changes details of the sender information, over recent months he changed it from 'm10' to 'm15' to now 'm20' to avoid spam detection. If this is not spamming than father christmas is the easter bunny. Werner 22:13, 31 October 2012 (UTC)Werner 22:14, 31 October 2012 (UTC)
