[edit]Total TVGuide interview
Following on from their passionate kiss, Dan and Malick (Jimmy Akingbola) have a scrap this week. As Dan's girlfriend, does Chrissie suspect anything?
- TINA: No, she just thinks that Dan is homophobic.
- ADAM: Dan covers up his own homosexual feelings by pretending to be homophobic, which in a way is actually the truth. Dan doesn't want to admit to what he is, and doesn't like his own feelings.
What was it like filming the fight between Dan and Malick?
- ADAM: It was fun, but it was quit technical. In real life, Jimmy is a lovely, funny, warm guy but then he becomes Malick, and you find yourself on the recievi ng end of that stare - it really is frightening.
How far in advance do you know what's in store for your characters?
- TINA: The writers give you a nice six month arc, but sometimes there are changes, so they're reluctant to tell you too much.
Chrissie's been very unlucky in love. Did you hope that it was going to be different this time?
- TINA: No, I love it when there's trouble! It's far more interesting to play than being settled and boring and loved up. I didn't expect this though. But we'll see how it all goes - we don't know how it's going to pan out, really.
Do you find it enjoyable to be in such a long-running storyline?
- ADAM: Yes, I've never been in a continuing drama before, so what's fantastic - and it took some time getting used to - is the time you can take over developing a relationship.
Meanwhile, are Hlby City fans keen for Chrissie to settle down with Sacha (Bob Barrett), the father of her child?
- TINA: Isn't he lovely? I mean, I get stopped in the street and people say 'Be nice to Sacha - he'll look after you, and he'll take good care of that baby.' But I suppose we all like a bit of danger...

In her book, springing nice surprises is totally unacceptable behaviour for a boyfriend. It would serve her right, then, if Dan took Malick instead."
