Proposed merge with Alexander Adamescu
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was to merge Domdeparis (talk) 16:46, 18 September 2017 (UTC)
I propose merge this article with article about his father and rename the result into "Adamescu Case". They both clearly are notable only because of the case. Arthistorian1977 (talk) 23:05, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose renaming as Dan Adamescu passes WP:GNG, and has significant coverage other than the case. No current opinion on the merge. Joseph2302 (talk) 08:22, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
- Support merge Alexander has no notability outside his father's case but I would suggest leaving the article title as Dan Adamescu as per Joseph2302 and create a section about his son with a redirect to this section under the name Alexander Adamescu Domdeparis (talk) 08:22, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
- Support proposal by Domdeparis - there really is no standalone notability to Alexander; the sources on him are either about the father, or editorials and activist press releases. However, a redirect and brief mention in Dan's article wouldn't hurt. - Biruitorul Talk 20:05, 17 July 2017 (UTC)
- Oppose merge Alexander has standalone notability and passes WP:GNG. There are numerous credible sources that are focused on him, including his fight against extradition in the United Kingdom and biographical data as a playwright and businessman, with reference to his father as a secondary matter or background information. These sources comprise reports from independent think tanks, peer-reviewed publications, and reputable media sources - well within the notability guidelines. The "Adamescu Case" could be referenced in a section on each page to show they are often linked by this. --Themistocles524 (talk) 11:47, 30 August 2017 (UTC)
