Don't forget Wikipedia's policy regarding biographies of living persons (WP:BLP), which requires that all contentious or negative material about living persons include an in-line citation to a reliable source. I've noticed many unsourced, contentious statements being added to this article recently - it's possible some of them may be true, but without a source, they are in violation of Wikipedia policy and must be removed immediately. Feel free to ask here if you need help citing sources. If you need help finding sources, www.ocregister.com and www.presstelegram.com are two Long Beach-area newspapers that are good places to begin searching for material related to Long Beach politics. Also, I am confused by the repeated removal of the word "politician" from the lead - in my understanding, someone running for office is a politician by definition, so I don't understand what would make this description contentious or debatable.
