Cleanup and sourcing

[edit]

I did a lot of cleanup on the article today, including removing a couple of unsourced (and duplicated) quotes. However, the article lacks significant sourcing for much of the material, and someone with more knowledge of where to find information on the subject should step in and provide some citations, or else much of it will have to be removed. Regarding: "After Civello's death in 1970, the FBI listed the Dallas Family as inactive. It is more likely, however, that longtime Dallas capo Joseph Ianni assumed leadership after Civello's death." The citation for that statement was this source, however, I turned the page and saw that it claims that LBJ conspired with the mafia to have JFK killed. It is not a reliable source so I removed the citation and replaced it with {{citation needed}}. -Location (talk) 21:24, 12 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
