Untitled

[edit]

Daisy Duck is 10 years older than Donald Duck. In Kingdom Hearts, it is found out that she's a queen, not a princess. --ZachKudrna18@yahoo.com

She's named "Iines Ankka" in Finnish. --Acolyte of Discord 17:21, 9 August 2006 (UTC).[reply]

I disagree that Daisy Duck's age is 10 years older than Donald Duck's. According to the article Duck family (Disney), Donald himself has a twin sister who was claimed to be 'born' around 1920. So I think that Donald has about the same age as Daisy's.--Ken Seng1991

Donna Duck

[edit]

Donna Duck redirects here, but this is not correct. Donna Duck is a separate character (appearing together with Daisy in some newspaper strips from 1951). (218.228.195.44 13:30, 31 October 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Daisyduck.gif

[edit]

Image:Daisyduck.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Daisy's Birthday

[edit]

Daisy Duck has a birthday but I've found only one reference to the exact details. According to the Four Color Comic Edition 0659 "Daisy Duck's Diary", her birthday is on May the 16th. Check it out if you'd like to confirm it. Deltasim (talk) 16:09, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Could someone link an image of this for us to check? 64.228.89.137 (talk) 17:50, 29 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

daisy & donald married or just engaged?

[edit]

hello, i was wondering if they are actually married as it says in the article or just engaged? when/where did they get married? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.8.104.39 (talk) 14:14, 18 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Daisy's Relatives

[edit]

Daisy has certain relatives starring in Dell comics. One shows her cousin. "Donald Duck Adventures" Edition 10 shows her British Uncle Bertie. Deltasim (talk) 21:06, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dubious

[edit]

The article claims that Tony Anselmo voiced Daisy (with a duck-voice) in Down and Out with Donald Duck, but that entire show is just a bunch of old clips with new narration linking them together. I don't recall any original dialog for Daisy at all, and certainly not with the old duck-voice. Powers T 12:48, 5 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sister of Donald's brother-in-law??

[edit]

According to the unofficial timeline of Don Rosa, Daisy was born in 1920. According to Rosa, Daisy is the sister of Donald's brother-in-law – Daisy's brother had married Donald's twin sister, Della Duck, and together, the two became the parents of Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck.

This entire story is nowhere to be found on all the other articles about the Duck family. Why?? It is clearly an important part of the universe and family tree. And it cites no sources, only the weasely "according to...". Where is this part of the timeline defined? In which comic/artwork? Or is this entire paragraph just sneaky vandalism to mislead?

What does Don Rosa say about Daisy Duck and where? Anyone who knows could add a source or two and then remove my tag.Gaioa (talk) 00:24, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This was a theory that Rosa proposed once, not official information. I think Don Rosa is great but his personality theories should not be taken as law.★Trekker (talk) 14:45, 26 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. It's just stuff he made up to fill in the gaps. It has no official standing whatsoever. 2600:4040:5D30:4800:882A:B5D3:7FBD:81A8 (talk) 18:08, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Did you know that Walt Disney named her after one of his teachers?

[edit]

It's true! Today I was reading this book about Walt Disney and it said that he named Daisy Duck after his 7th grade teacher, Mrs. Daisy Beck! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.191.148.95 (talk) 02:49, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The closest thing to a source I found was "the Disney character Daisy Duck, who is rumored to have been named after Beck." It's a rumor. — Alexis Jazz (talk or ping me) 05:56, 20 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Creators

[edit]

The character creators categories are for the writers ands artists of comic book characters. Daisy is mostly a comic book character, and her design and characterization is mostly based on Al Taliaferro's comic strip version of her, introduced in 1940.
