New Zealand's dairies seem very similar to UK's/Australia's milk bars. Are they different in more than just name? If not, should the two articles be merged? Mgnbar (talk) 11:06, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Mgnbar: I see big incompatibilities at Milk bar, which says that fish and chips and hamburgers and milkshakes are sold. In New Zealand, these things are NEVER sold in dairies. Dairies are stores that sell (mostly) essential items including bread, biscuits, frozen food and groceries, but they never sell food for consumption on the premises. Thanks for your response, Akld guy. In my (admittedly limited) experience, NZ dairies do sell mass-produced meat pies, kept hot for immediate consumption.
