Edit warring
[edit]Please read WP:EDITWAR and then realise that this page is a prime example and as such, I have protected it from editing. Please discuss any issues you might have on the talkpage, don't endlessly revert over a period of weeks. What seems to be the main issue here? Do any sources confirm or refute either side of the dispute? Please come to a consensus about this player's postion and then this page can be un-protected. - I've not been involved in the edit war, but. am merely an impartial watcher - Dagoberto is on my watchlist as it is an article I created. The main problem between Paulozin (talk · contribs) and various IPs seems to be whether to term his playing position as 'striker' or 'second striker.' GiantSnowman 17:33, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- it is possible for someone to have more then 1 position so why not list both positions? Skitzo (talk) 11:32, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
National years
[edit]Dagoberto's national years are ONLY 2003 and 2004 - as confirmed by sambafoot.com. Please do not adjust the national years to anything else. Regards, GiantSnowman 00:23, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
International caps
[edit]Dagoberto has never played for the Brazil senior team, Sambafoot incorrectly combine all the matches played by Brazil U-20 (in the Pan American Games) and Brazil U-23 (in the Olympics) with the senior team matches. Sambafoot mentioned that he appeared in 3 matches and scored 3 goals in 2003, but all of those games are at 2003 Pan American Games, where Brazil compete with their U-20 teams. In 2004, his 6 games and 1 goals came from Pre-Olympic Tournament which is a U-23 tournament. Moreover, these 9 matches couldn't be found on RSSSF's list of Brazil senior team matches nor at FIFA's list of international matches, which imply that these matches are not an official international matches. He also was not listed on RSSSF's list of Brazil international players. - Martin tamb (talk) 11:01, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
I've updated his U-20 caps, below is the breakdown:
- 2003 Pan American Games, 3 caps 3 goals (match report at RSSSF and at Sambafoot)
- 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship, 4 caps 0 goal (match report at FIFA)
- 2003 South American Youth Championship, 8 caps 4 goals (match report at CONMEBOL)
giving a total of 15 caps and 7 goals.- Martin tamb (talk) 11:15, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
