I am removing the names of the suspects/charged as they have not been convicted yet, many are minors, and they are not well known individuals. It is too soon in my mind to name them. Mvqr (talk) 09:11, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The names of the accused (with one exception) have been published widely in reliable sources around the world. The two named juveniles have been charged as adults, so the usual juvenile protection no longer applies to them. We should follow the RS and publish the names released by the police. To do otherwise would amount to censorship. WWGB (talk) 09:42, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
But we don't know the details yet. All six have been charged with 4 homicides. The details will probably become more specific as the cases progresses. WP:BLPCRIME applies here, these are not public figures. In my opinion if we keep the names redacted here for a month or two we lose little. In that time frame we're likely to have actual specific charges, not just an arrest and charge in relation to the entire shooting. --Mvqr (talk) 15:40, 23 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There is an ongoing policy discussion at WP:BLP entitled Naming accused perpetrators of crimes debating the question of whether articles about high-profile criminal cases should name any known suspect(s) prior to conviction, especially when they are only known for their involvement with the event in question. This article is featured as one example of twenty fitting these criteria which named the suspect(s) after being published by reliable sources. I will be copying this message to the other articles so that interested editors have an opportunity participate in the debate. Xan747 (talk) 17:19, 22 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
