More information
[edit]It appears that Dacor began distributing Scuba-Equipment in 1954, and that they merged with Mares in 2003, according to
- "VDTdecalPage1". Vintage Diving Treasures. 3 October 2010. Retrieved 19 October 2010.
Although I doubt that it meets WP:RS for the information, it's a starting point for looking for a reliable source. The page above might be worth considering as an external link, as it illustrates some of Dacor's early products, in a way that could not be easily integrated into the article (WP:EL#YES 3). --RexxS (talk) 18:42, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
I found some information that might be enough to start a stub about Mares at
- "Mission". Mares. Retrieved 19 October 2010.
Perhaps something along the lines of: "Mares was founded in Rapallo, Italy by Ludovico Mares in 1949. It originally made diving masks and spearguns, but now manufactures diving regulators, dive computers, buoyancy compensators, diving suits, and snorkels as well. It merged with Dacor in 2003." if we can find a RS for the merger date. --RexxS (talk) 18:56, 19 October 2010 (UTC)
