Disambiguation

[edit]

May I suggest making IC3 disambig to allow links to Internet Crime Complaint Center (IC3) and IC3 Certification? I would make the change, but will leave it to the more knowledgeable editors on this article to possibly find a distinct name for the current item. Rurik 01:59, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

We could call this article IC3 (train) or IC3 (trainset). Alternatively, those could redirect to this article, and we could rename this to a more Danish-biased name, Litra MFA-FF-MFB, or we could find out under what name Bombadier Transportation develops them (it does not say on their webpage). I lean more to IC3 (train), but whichever we decide, IC3 should disambiguate here because it is the culturally popular term in Denmark. Ghent 11:07, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Infoboxes

[edit]

This article lacks 2 infoboxes, one for the diesel version and one for the electric version. Peter Horn User talk 22:00, 26 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"last 15 years" ??

[edit]

The following information is now (2020) dubious as those treinsets are in use longer than 15 years!

  • The IC3 has not only served as the backbone of the Danish InterCity concept for the past 15 years

Belgian AM96

[edit]

Is there a verifiable technical relation between the IC3 family and the Belgian AM96 EMU - beyond that similar end gangway? If no, then i don't think we should call them IC3s. Nyamo Kurosawa (talk) 14:27, 23 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, so thanks for doing this. In truth I think the article needs a major reorganisation – it might be better if it's renamed Scandia Flexliner and trimmed down to the IC3, IC2, and IR4, and Spanish and Israeli derivatives. The IR4 itself might qualify for an article of its own, in which case I'd move IC3 to DSB Class MF and the IR4 to DSB Class ER. The X31 would then either be incorporated fully into the existing Øresundståg article or given a new Bombardier Contessa article. The AM96 could be covered there if there's a proven connection, though it already has its own article as-is. XAM2175 (T) 11:37, 24 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There are still no reliable sources for this. Anyone who intends to add that Belgian train to the DSB Class MF page, please join this conversation with WP:reliable sources before adding the material again. Nyamo Kurosawa (talk) 08:15, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Move discussion in progress

[edit]

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:IC3 (disambiguation) which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 17:02, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
