Third-party vs. Bus mastering

It should be noted that Third-party is not problematic for this attack, since the CPU controls the transfer. DMA attack is possible in Bus mastering mode (aka first-party), where the peripheral controls the transfer.

IOMMU -> AMD-Vi

The article on x86 virtualization suggests that AMD's IOMMU has been renamed to AMD-Vi (presumably to avoid confusion with the regular meaning of IOMMU).
