Advert tag
[edit]Can you please explain what you consider to be advert like in the article please? SmartSE (talk) 01:17, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- Sure, I believe an insignificant artist is on here to help with publicity and to possibly gain more of a following. Hence, it is essentially an advert.Turqoise127 17:29, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- Well the multiple sources would indicate that they are not insignificant and that they don't need to gain more of a following. Plus, it's a good thing I don't want to go into marketing, because no one looked at my advert last month! But anyway {{advert}} is added to articles to point out that they are not written from a NPOV, rather than because you've not heard of something before, can you explain what is unneutral about the article? SmartSE (talk) 17:37, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
- The fact noone looked at this article even more indicates its lack of notability, and the waste of server space on here. Hence the advert tag; simply the fact it is on WP is advertising in itself for musicians, making them seem notable even if they aren't. I maintain this artist fails WP:BAND, and may take it to Afd, I will see. I only wait because your buddies would right away fill the afd's with solidarity "keeps". Turqoise127 01:08, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
- Fortunately as readers and editors, servers are not our worry. As that's the only explanation for the tag you've given, I've removed it from the article. Regarding notability, I consider the coverage sufficient to cover WP:BAND, due to the significant coverage in multiple sources, but if you don't then please feel free to let the community discuss it at AfD. - I don't know what T meant, but I can objectively see that the coverage of this guy exceeds the motivating article.--Milowent • talkblp-r 02:07, 10 November 2010 (UTC)

[edit]I can't find any reliable sources to link skitz and Paul Hadrill, but once we do, this (archived) will be useful as a reference. SmartSE (talk) 18:35, 1 May 2011 (UTC)
- This can be ignored - it was a different DJ Skitz - how bloody confusing! SmartSE (talk) 00:17, 16 February 2012 (UTC)
