Noahfgodard I am concerned about your understanding of WP:NPOV and WP:V. Where is known as “DJ Pope[1] or Pope,[2] Partner and DJ of J Balvin[3] for more than 15 years. He has helped lead the growth of Reggaeton in Medellin, which is sometimes called "Capital of Reggaeton".[4], specifically "lead the growth of Reggaeton" sourced? The only claim of notability here is being recognized in a city which comes from an interview, not independent coverage. The whole article is also illegible. @Praxidicae: I believe you're far more knowledgeable than I about Wikipedia's guidelines (it's for that reason I didn't remove the speedy deletion notice and don't intend to do so). You make good points, but I've now removed some of the more opinionated language and added some additional sources. At this point, it seems to me that it meets both WP:NPOV and WP:V. As for the illegibility, it seems likely the article was written by a non-native speaker, but I've now copy edited it to the extent of readability. At this point, I don't think the article meets the criteria for speedy deletion, but please let me know if you disagree. Noahfgodard (talk) 18:28, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know about notability wrt this article and I don't feel like digging into it but the version you accepted was wholly inappropriate for mainspace. Please be more careful going forward. Praxidicae (talk) 18:29, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
You're right; I shouldn't have accepted it in its form at the time. I apologize, and I'll definitely be more careful in the future. That being said, I've now done quite a bit of digging around and I believe it satisfies WP:MUSICBIO, and as I mentioned, I've edited it heavily at this point. Given that, should I remove the speedy deltion nomination? Thanks, Noahfgodard (talk) 18:44, 1 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The subject isn't really well known, even in Colombia... everyone in Colombia (and across the world) knows who J Balvin is, but if you ask any Colombian who his DJ is, I suspect 99% of them will look at you blankly. Even if this survives a speedy deletion, the subject's notability is very borderline, it's pretty much entirely WP:INHERITED from his association with J Balvin.
