Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because DCA are the UKs most successful product design and product development company. They have created hundreds of iconic procuct designs in the Uk including the Stanley knife blade, the Channel Tunnel trains and the BT phone box. For these reasons DCA deserve an entry in Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mirohal (talk • contribs) 10:09, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

- Success is not the issue, and 'deserve' does not fit within Wikipedia policy. Any topic needs to be
reverencesreferenced to multiple independent in-depth coverage. Directory listings, product packages, the company's own site can be used afterward for uncontested details. See Wikipedia:Wikipuffery for phrases and words to avoid. Dru of Id (talk) 09:21, 29 March 2012 (UTC) - The 1967 Design Journal article, for instance, is about the awards, the judges, the product, and the designer. Dru of Id (talk) 09:28, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- The speedy deletion request was already declined, as the industry awards won which are verifiable denote recognition, although the article still needs major work. I've reoganized the sections in the standard order so that others can follow discussions later. Dru of Id (talk) 09:38, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
Proposed deletion objection
[edit]We have noted that this page has been marked as "Proposed for Deletion" although we were not notified of this. We have taken on-board the suggestions earlier on this page and are in the process of updating our entry to be more relevant to Wikipedia and provide more external references and sources to go with the descriptive text. We trust this is enough in the short term to allow the PROD marking to be removed and we will aim to complete our changes as soon as possible. Rgledhill (talk) 14:12, 1 August 2016 (UTC)Rgledhill
