I found this ingredient in Cheez-It Twisterz (Baked Cheese Snacks, Chedder & More Cheddar) product. ("Cheez-It(R) Twisterz TM / Cheddar & More Cheddar 13 oz. UPC 0-24100-18214-5)

What I wonder is, does it occur naturally in any amount in any "normal" foods that we eat? Has it been found in traditional yeast or flour or is it only available by some highly processed chemical extraction?

I found it in Land O Lakes Half & Half that you find in restaurants and motel coffee bars.

It is in several of McDonld's foods including their iced coffees per their ingredients pages —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.110.61.249 (talk) 19:19, 26 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you have concerns , please inform on the project talk page -- TinucherianBot (talk) 17:35, 3 July 2008 (UTC) I noticed this as an ingredient in many baked goods which cause me to choke so I just looked it up and can find very little info. My more hard line friends (who seem to be allergic to almost everything) insist I must have a glutamate allergy but I can eat baked goods made with wheat flour which does not contain DATEM with no problem. Does anyone know about this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.179.73.232 (talk) 13:27, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Unreliable source

[edit]

A source such as "The Ecologist," which describes itself as "setting the environmental agenda since 1970," is not of encyclopedia quality. Find an authoritative, rather than biased, source or delete the reference and the factoid. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.35.175.244 (talk) 21:41, 11 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Correct. I fixed this. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 19:52, 9 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
