clarity

[edit]

I'm not interested in doing the reading and research but I think maybe someone who understands what this is supposed to mean might make it a little clearer: "In 2006 Willard-Lewis, together with Mayor Ray Nagin supported a landfill project's opponents led by then-future U.S. Representative Republican Joseph Cao." Is this supposed to mean the same thing as: "In 2006 Willard-Lewis and Mayor Ray Nagin supported a group led by future U.S. Representative Joseph Cao (R) that opposed a landfill project"? Because I'm not sure and I'm not sure that makes it any clearer because I'm not sure of the point being made. That an elected official worked with another elected official and a citizen's group led by an aspiring elected official on an issue of local importance? See? I'm just messing it up, aren't I? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Economy1 (talkcontribs) 13:04, 21 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
