Out of the teams with 4 wins, why did Russia qualify? China and Norway seem to have every statistic better than Russia. Is there some rule for this? 85.76.71.5 (talk) 06:54, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- OAR beat both China and Norway in the round robin. It's as simple as that. -- Earl Andrew - talk 14:28, 11 February 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, simple it may be, but it is never mentioned in the Curling World Championship or Olympic Curling articles. In football and ice hockey tournament articles, the tiebreaker(s) are usually mentioned before any games were played. 91.154.234.194 (talk) 15:09, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
- Similarly China beat Norway, so it seems strange that those two had to play a tiebreaker match whereas the results of matches between the tied teams apparently counted to allow OAR straight through. It would be good to have a link to the relevant rule. --David Biddulph (talk) 15:46, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
- There is a description at https://www.pyeongchang2018.com/cn/game-time/results/OWG2018/en/curling/media-information-report-n1305-.htm which is still not very clear, but it seems that the round-robin results between the tied teams are looked at to narrow it down to two teams for one tiebreaker game. --David Biddulph (talk) 15:52, 21 February 2018 (UTC)
