Translation
[edit]Cur is why; deus is god; and homo is man but Cur Deus Homo is—in Latin—a perfectly grammatical construction in a way that Why God Man isn't. The was and article are understood in all Latin sentences in a way that doesn't work in English. (The English "Why God Man?" renders completely separate ideas: Cur deus est/erat, amice? Cur??! Dee... Amice... &c.) — LlywelynII 04:53, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
