While the page is reworked, the researcher must read Paul Theroux's "Happy Isles of Oceania", which paints a true anthropology of the islands, which has barely anything to do with the rather inaccurate information on the main Solomon Islands page. [edit by user 12.75.134.95]

I also recommend Ples Blong Iumi: Solomon Islands the Past Four Thousand Years, written by fourteen Solomon Islanders and edited by Hugh Laracy, published by the University of the South Pacific in 1989. As the title indicates, it covers the whole of the country's history, and gives a fairly significant amount of information on cultural practices and traditions.
