Despite the use of what should be a reliable source (Toronto Daily Star) the in this article from the time of Dahlstrom's playing career, he is not the first American-born player to win the Calder Trophy. Both Carl Voss and Mike Karakas who preceded Dahlstrom as Calder recipients were born in the United States and according to the book Without Fear: Hockey's 50 greatest goaltenders Karakas was born and train in the States. As such I'm removing the statement from the article.--65.59.204.129 (talk) 21:14, 26 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

While it's true that both of those players are Americans and they can be found on lists of Calder winners like this one or this one the fact is that they were both NHL rookie of the year award winners not Calder winners. The Calder was not awarded until the 1936–37 season. Therefore I have re-added the information. --Mo Rock...Monstrous (leech44) 19:58, 3 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
