[edit]I edited this page for grammar, clarity and coherence as part of our Behavioral Ecology class in September, 2019.Hannahwhite97 (talk) 02:39, 1 October 2019 (UTC)
I mostly made grammatical changes to ensure greater clarity. In doing this, I changed sentence structures to avoid run-on sentences, fixed clauses with subject-verb agreement issues, and added/deleted some words to improve the overall flow of the work and to avoid repetitiveness. I edited this page by adding some formatting changes so that the page would look more "professional". I did this by changing the temperatures listed in the article to actual celsius units. I also fixed some syntax mistakes so that the work was clearer and a little easier to understand. KendalTLee (talk) 17:43, 15 October 2019 (UTC)
Very interesting article about the midge! I liked your discussion on future research that could be done as an investigation into this fly species has implications across the medical community as well as the ecological one. An overall critique of the page would be the brevity of the sections, which could very well be caused by a lack of available information. I would especially expand on the description section, as you say there is are multiple recordings of the physical description available. JustinLevin 4:15, 17 October 2019 (UTC)
Overall, this is a really awesome, cohesive, interesting, and easy-to-understand article.I loved the use of the pictures. I edited just a few simple grammatical mistakes that went under the radar of other editors, as well as linking a few important pages. My main suggestion would be to expand the length of the article. Specifically, a section about mating behavior would be super interesting to see! Olivia.urso (talk) 03:47, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
I expanded on the lead of the article and moved the pictures, which were in the footer of the page, back into the article body. My suggestions would be to continue adding to the content of the article, especially with regards to behavioral information. XuLily (talk) 10:51, 1 December 2019 (UTC)
Great job on this article! I would suggest adding a female description to go along with the Male description in the description section. Even if there are not many defining factors to the female flies, the section seems like it is missing something by only having the male description. Additionally I would expand upon the feeding habits with Food Resources section. It seems like it is lacking a little more description, and if you could pull a couple facts from the articles you used it would really enhance the section.
