If you want to try the 4-5
[edit]I recommend cutting it down to the king of the agreed suit - bidding theory has moved on since the 1930s. Culbertson 4-5 works very well with Italian-style non-committal cuebids below game. With slam in mind, you try to jockey the auction so that one partner or other can bid 4N - if they can't, 7 is out of the question, but 6 might still be on, and you have room to investigate. There's no "do you have the Q?" ask, but instead a "what do you feel about 6(7)?" ask. 4-5 is a seriously playable method. Narky Blert (talk) 00:52, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
