So, what are the "five Cognitive psychology theories of forgetting"? Eldereft 06:04, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's more like the five variables of forgetting, according to some general psych textbooks I have:
  1. Encoding failure or degree of memory encoding
  2. Decay
  3. cue-dependent forgetting
  4. Interference or prior learning
  5. Repression and suppression
