What Region
[edit]The article says regional. What region? Copyedited the recipe too, for my Polish friends. Dr. Dan 03:44, 11 March 2006 (UTC)
- Well, it's known throughout Poland, and quite different from cucumber soups I have seen elsewhere. Guess you could say it's part of traditional polish cuisine :). LOL on seeing such an article in English wiki :D - Anonymous 13:44, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
LOL? What's so funny! Informing people about a soup, and it's origins and associations. And a link to a recipe. This is funny! This is not worthy of an encyclopedia? Telling us that some king suffered from hemmorhoids in the 18th century, that's not funny, but necessary and useful information, right? Dr. Dan 23:13, 17 September 2006 (UTC)

What is it?
[edit]I'm a bit confused. The lede says it is made from "sour salted cucumber" but then the article goes on to say there are two varieties: one from fresh and one from pickled cucumbers. I presume "sour salted" is how they get "pickled" but I don't think you can get "fresh" cucumbers from "sour salted" ones. --Richardson mcphillips (talk) 17:53, 28 May 2014 (UTC)

Cucumber soup → Zupa ogórkowa – The article is about the Polish/Lithuanian soup. Scudsvlad (talk) 21:20, 14 December 2022 (UTC) This is a contested technical request (permalink). Happily888 (talk) 23:59, 15 December 2022 (UTC)

- There are other soups that are called "cucumber soup" (e.g. in Commons:Category:Cucumber soups, in which there is Commons:Category:Zupa ogórkowa that is linked to the aforementioned English Wikipedia article.). --Scudsvlad (talk) 21:59, 14 December 2022 (UTC)
- oppose per wp:ue also why privilege Polish over Lithuanian?—blindlynx 22:47, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
