Csángós ➡️ Csangos
[edit]I made the change Csángós ➡️ Csangos, per WP:MOSTCOMMON. A ngram suggests that book sources favour the version without diacritics. 77wonders (talk) 06:29, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
- There is an ongoing move request at Talk:Csangos, it is worth waiting for its result. --Norden1990 (talk) 09:43, 27 September 2021 (UTC)
60,000 to 70,000 speakers of the speakers of the Csángó dialect in 2001 - outdated data?
[edit]"1,536 persons were self-declared Csángós at the 2011 Romanian census. Most ethnic Csángós are monolingual Romanian speakers, and only a minortiy of Csángós speak a Hungarian dialect known as Csángó". One can make the deduction that less than 800 Csángós speak the Csángó dialect. So I wonder how old is the estimation that presents 60,000 to 70,000 speakers of the Csángó dialect. 77wonders (talk) 10:14, 28 September 2021 (UTC)
The phrase "the part of Bacău County populated by ethnic Hungarians"
[edit]I think the phrase "the part of Bacău County populated by ethnic Hungarians" is misleading. In my understanding, it would wrongly suggest a Hungarian majority. However, except Ghimeș-Făget (where 51% of the inhabitants were self-declared Hungarians in 2011 and historically belongs to Székely Land, not to Csángó Land), in no settlement Hungarians make up a big percentage. 77wonders (talk) 20:40, 29 September 2021 (UTC)
