Cleaning up article, adding valid references, stating factual/notable information. Removing advertising like text. I am using other soccer supporter group article pages on wiki as a guide. See Sons of Ben, Timbers Army. Suggestions welcomed.Crocketteers (talk) 16:21, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
- You will have to address the central issue: is this organization notable? See WP:ORG. You have not made a case that the booster club is notable by providing multiple references that focus on the organization, as opposed to peripheral mention in articles on the World Cup or the soccer franchise. It remains promotional, which is why we strongly discourage editing by contributors with conflicts of interest such as yours - it makes it hard to write an encyclopedic article when you're too close to the topic. I will make it as encyclopedic as possible. Please bear with me on this. Also I am the founder of the group this article is about. We are over 450 strong and I've waited 18 months before I decided it was relevant to put in wikipedia. Other "booster clubs", like Timbers Army and Sons of Ben have successfully wiki articles. I will use those as a guide for Crocketteers article. There is a conflict of interest with me being the founder of the group. However I believe other supporters groups of real soccer franchises are doing the same thing. Please let me know if I have permission to address the issues with this article despite the obvious conflict of interest. Thanks! - (Crocketteers user account has either been deleted or locked. Considerable revisions to promote notability
[edit]Please review the article and make anymore suggestions. There is no attempt to spam. I've added more references from reliable sources and some direct references to the Crocketteers organizational site as it relates to their membership structure and past hosted events.
