Notability

[edit]

This organization is self-evidently notable. I have no idea what else to write to make it more notable. Besides that, a quick search of "drustvo logorasa" -wiki -wikipedia (short form for the organization) gives about 500 results which is fairly high for notable Croatian organizations. --Thewanderer 15:56, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to primary criterion for Notability of organizations if you want to know how to establish notablility for this organization. I will not re-add the speedy template to give you some time to fix the article, assuming that you will establish the notablity of this article, otherwise it should be considered for deletion. // laughing man 16:44, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have seen the said organization's press conferences and similar things in mainstream Croatian news sources, so it's no less notable than whatever random pop band we have documented here on the English Wikipedia. If you want to start weeding out tangentially relevant information, be consistent. --Joy [shallot] 11:05, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am consistent. The article did NOT at all establish notability when I posted the message above. You are too late. Thewanderer has already fixed the article per WP:NOTE we have already removed the notability tags. // laughing man 14:32, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I googled a bit and found references to the leader of the organization with the local Radio Free Europe [1] and in the Novi Sad daily Dnevnik [2] so it's hard to say that they are not notable if they're making appearances in other countries' media outlets. --Joy [shallot] 11:11, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
See my response above. // laughing man 14:32, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

organization name

[edit]

There are zero hits for the "English" article title. [3] so I moved it the Proper name of the organization (Croatian). // laughing man 17:02, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Regardless, according to Wikipedia:Naming_conventions#Organizations and Wikipedia:Naming conventions (use English) the English translation must be used. --Thewanderer 20:05, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Acknowledged -- I just reverted back to the previous English language name version of article. // laughing man 20:18, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
