Editing Sexism, Discrimination, and Stereotyping, Food Advertising, and Children and Adolescents section

For these different sections of the Criticism of Advertising article I added on some important information so that they are more detailed and in-depth. For the Sexism and Discrimination section I talked about how false advertising is big on drawing a person's attention but can have negative effects such as psychological disorders. Many of these psychological disorders consist of anxiety and depression which is often caused by a lack of body confidence and self-esteem. I also included sources such as Business Insider to help support my information. Next, for Food Advertising I elaborated on the effects it has on young adolescents such as eating disorders. This disorder is most common in females and is important to be aware of because of anorexia nervosa and bulimia nervosa among young girls. Lastly, I added onto the Children and Adolescents section by discussing how college students tend to fall into credit student debt to due credit card advertising at college campuses. This will help inform readers by providing more in-depth details on how these companies target college students when it comes to advertising college students. The Balance article was a big source I used to help support my information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ngonzalez35 (talkcontribs) 03:19, 20 February 2020 (UTC)
