Future Edits

My name is Gabrielle and I'm a Sophomore at Rice University. I'm so excited to see that this page exists but have a lot of plans for future edits. As it currently exists there is not a lot of development concerning the specific policies or reform efforts of specific movements. Additionally, while it's great to see that reform is mentioned for every state, the content is still underdeveloped. I'm excited to potentially work on this article. Hi Gabrielle, I really like the work that you've been doing on this page. In particular, the section on areas for reform is really great! I would recommend that in the future you focus on further developing the section on arguments relating to reform, which is somewhat underdeveloped. All in all, great work! A Future Edit

The article says, ″30% of the Black victims were unarmed, compared to 21% of White Victims that were″. Recommend adding ″were unarmed″ to complete the sentence. In English it is much more common to say the subjects were armed with weapons. To leave the predicate of the second phrase simply to ″were″ will confuse readers who may think ″were armed″ because it is the vastly more common use of the word ″armed″. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.84.78.154 (talk) 14:51, 12 February 2020 (UTC)

Adding Federal vs. State Sentence Disparity

I believe we need an additional section for covering disparity between State sentencing and Federal sentencing.
