Merger proposal

[edit]

I propose that Criminal Behaviour Order be merged into Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Reason: Currently, the Criminal Behaviour Order article is a stub and the content may be better merged into the article Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Additionally, I would suggest that a Criminal Behaviour Order Page be redirected to Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. Vote No. I created the Criminal Behaviour Order page because they replace ASBOs, which have their own Wikipedia page, and nothing was returned when searching the internet. This page definitely needs several sections adding, starting with examples and reports on success rate. --Andrew Swallow (talk) 16:03, 16 May 2018 (UTC)--Andrew Swallow (talk) 16:03, 16 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I accept the Criminal Behaviour Orders have replaced ASBOs and are likely to be as equally important (maybe controversial) in the future. I agree Wiki does need a page covering them. My opinion is that the Criminal Behaviour Order page could be used as a redivert page at this time.At the moment work has been ongoing to improve coverage of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014. It might make it easier for readers to understand the Act and the elements it contains if we merged the text from Criminal Behaviour Order to ASBSPA 2014 whilst the subject is being developed. Discussions are ongoing if to do something similar with the Public Space Protection Order article. Nothing is permanent on Wiki, and in the future the potential exists to split the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 article if it becomes too big or confusing. Please let me know your thought. Regards, WPCW (talk) 21:15, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
It is easy to copy two paragraphs. However after about 3 years I would have expected someone to have said something interesting about CBOs. Possibly published some success/failure information. --Andrew Swallow (talk) 23:31, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Andrew Swallow: Hello, I am eager to develop the article Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014, and have worked on it. Two section cannot be included as they already have pages, Criminal Behaviour Order and Public Space Protection Order. The 2014 Act is very important as it is the central plank of the UK's anti-social behaviour legislation. My academic side places greater importance on extending the material on the Criminal Behaviour Order and Public Space Protection Order rather than where the articles should be placed. As a newbie at Wiki, I feel quite lonely as nobody is talking to me on the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 or Public Protection Order pages! Please could I ask your advice as you appear to have been editing for sometime? I am willing to accept your decision about keepingCriminal Behaviour Order also Public Space Protection Orderif you feel it is a good idea. If you have time would you mind looking at Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act 2014 and provide your advice about the best way forward for the articles. They both have merge requests on and I am unsure if it is the best option. If your advice is not to merge, do you know if I am allowed to simply remove the merge proposals. Kind Regards, WPCW (talk) 20:15, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Have a look at the sections on the three companies in the Lunar CATALYST Wiki page. Each company has both its own Wiki page and a short section on the Lunar CATALYST page. They are linked using the template:Main e.g. {{main |Astrobotic Technology}} giving

You did not use the TfM template so the automatic merger system has not been started. So you can presumably just vote NO and just close this section down. --Andrew Swallow (talk) 21:18, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think we are in agreement to close this proposal and we will keep the current page WPCW (talk) 22:37, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
