Fair use rationale for Image:Crew21.jpg
[edit]Image:Crew21.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:57, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Merge Tag
[edit]I'm suggesting the merge tag for the following reasons:
- Only the one issue has its own page
- There is no need for the separate page
Peachey88 09:13, 13 June 2007 (UTC)
- merge all of the single issues. This needs to be done as the whole run can't be done as individual entries, so I wouldn't hang around too long in case it prompts more to be created. (Emperor 12:50, 24 June 2007 (UTC))
- Agree, with proviso. Notability for each and every issue is going to be hard to establish. However, just like some episodes of television shows, there are occasional issues which might be notable enough on their own to warrant their own page. For instance, there's no need to have a page for every single issue of Action Comics, but there is properly a separate page for Action Comics #1. Crew 13 doesn't appear to be so notable. I'd also argue that it's in the wrong format for wikipedia/en. Its name should have been Crew #13. CzechOut ☎ | ✍ 20:12, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
- Comment Most certainly - there are no hard and fast rules about such things so we need to judge each on their own merit. Additional it needn't prejudice the recreation of the pages if someone believes one of them is especially notable and can provide the sources to prove it. Anyway I'd almost forgotten about this and the merge has been rattling around for quite a while now. Anyone object to my sorting the merges out now? (Emperor (talk) 21:37, 13 March 2008 (UTC))
