Fluffy

[edit]

The following was taken from the "Fluffy" disambiguation page. I'm sure it doesn't belong there, but I'm not entirely sure what to do with it. Does it merit its own article? Urocyon 23:47, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Fluffy

[[1]]

This sypnosis contains spoilers.

In the movie Creepshow, an old crate is discovered by a janitor called Mike under the stairs in a college when he accidentally loses a coin. He calls a professor called Dexter Stanley to come and have a look at it. Dexter's friend Henry Northrup happens to be married to a very annoying woman named Wilma who makes Henry's life a misery and he usually has a grim fantasy in which she is dead. After Dexter and Mike open up the crate, they hear a strange noise and Mike puts his arm inside the crate which proves to be a fatal mistake. He is dragged into the crate and devoured by the creature while Dexter runs away. He runs into a student called Charlie and he doesn't believe Dexter's story at first until he sees the mess the thing made in the basement. Charlie approaches the crate in a classic horror movie way (the crate had ended up back where Mike found it) and Charlie finds one of Mike's mangled shoes and gives it to Dexter. Suddenly the creature appears again and slashes Charlie. It then turns its attention to Dexter but Charlie hits it with a wrench and then it kills Charlie before he can get away. Dexter manages to escape and then he goes to his friend Henry for help. Henry actually believes Dexter's story and comes up with a plan to get rid of Wilma. He puts Dexter to sleep and goes to the college by himself (what a brave guy) and he removes all the evidence of the mess the monster made and Wilma finds a note asking her to meet Henry at the college. Henry uses violent force to get Wilma to go near the crate. After some harsh words are exchanged the creature awakes from its nap and snatches Wilma. Henry then finds a padlock and locks up the crate with caution. He drives it out to a lake and throws it in the water. Henry then tells Dexter that the monster is dead but the monster is clearly not dead as it escapes from its wooden prison and the last thing we see is its evil eyes.

Fluffy appears in the fourth segment titled The Crate which is based on a short story by Stephen King.

I'm not sure I understand the following This is used to the advantage of a college professor (Hal Holbrook) who, intending to use it on his wife ("scream queen" Adrienne Barbeau), stars as a deserving victim of the beast. He didn't get killed by the beast. His wife did. PrometheusX303 09:42, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The man is the last story wasn't the landlord, he was a businessman of some sort. The building was some sort of co-op. There was a young black man who appeared to be a maintaineance man, but judging from the way he was spoken down to by the businessman, he probably wasn't the landlord. Glitch (Someone fix me!)

[edit]

The section edits are appearing all next to one another in the middle of the page halfway through the trivia section. Someone fix this. 128.113.139.187 01:14, 3 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Classic"

[edit]

use of the word "classic" is an opinion and clearly violates wikipedia:NPOV. Robertcornell68 (talk) 07:18, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I reckon Nick also known as 'The Creepshow Creep' edited this. He has a site dedicated to the movie.PeterMan844 (talk) 11:54, 29 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced material

[edit]

The following is unsourced information:

  • Due to running time issues, the film's third episode ("Something To Tide You Over") was completely omitted from the theatrical release in Germany. However, the segment was included in the subsequent original German video edition.
  • Select excerpts from the score were used for the music in Eli Roth's faux trailer Thanksgiving in Grindhouse.

While this is interesting, we can't use it unless you provide a source. Also, none of this is really trivia, as trivia by its definition is "unimportant information" - it therefore shouldn't be in a trivia section but instead the information should be incorporated into the main article. - Tbsdy lives (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 03:28, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

'Unofficial' sequel

[edit]

If the people who produced Creepshow III had the legal rights to the name isn't it an official sequel? I'm not denying the movie is beyond terrible but how is it not 'official'? SlamBurger (talk) 04:29, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

My thoughts as well. --RedKnight (talk) 17:29, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Creepshow: Raw

[edit]

There has been no further mention of Creepshow: Raw which is stated as having been completed in July 2008. Is it still awaiting station pick-up or has it essentially been shelved indefinitely? --RedKnight (talk) 12:52, 26 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Workprint

[edit]

There is a time listed as 'Workprint' but there is no reference to it in the main article. Where is this alternate/original running time from and is it relevant to the final production in any way? --RedKnight (talk) 17:31, 9 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Incorrect Actor Listed in "The Lonesome Death of Jordy Verrill"

[edit]

John Colicos (uncredited) as Doctor is incorrect. It was Bingo O'Malley who played the Doctor. The segment editor, Pasquale Buba, clarified this on Facebook a few days ago in regards to the Creepshow wiki entry:

"Now, all those characters seem to be the same person to me. And I thought that was part of what made the segment interesting. Also, this John Colicos fellow looks to have brown eyes, whereas Bingo's (and the doctor's) eyes are clearly blue. Am I wrong here? Can anyone shed some light on this? I can't stand people being incorrectly credited, or missing out on a credit."

Pasquale Buba: "Bingo played all the roles"

Boys or Girls School?

[edit]

Filmed in an "old boys academy" or "all-girls school"? Different sections say different things. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Meve Stills (talkcontribs) 15:52, 28 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Inconsistent Production Notes

[edit]

The intro paragraph states, “Romero leased an old boys academy (Penn Hall) to build extensive sets for the film” while the production section says, “most of the film was shot in an empty all-girls school” - was it a boys school or a girls school? Dm06851 (talk) 21:45, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

"Creepshow" franchise

[edit]

Should there be a Wikipedia page for the "Creepshow" franchise? There's been three movies, a brief actual comic book series, and now the TV show. Inkan1969 (talk) 22:16, 11 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia / Errata

At the end of "Gray Matter", when the comic book is shown, one of the advertisements - "Make A Monster" - says "Laboratory-Tesed Hobby Kits" instead of "Laboratory-Tested". 2600:1700:1990:F850:D9AE:AAC6:80D9:A88C (talk) 00:26, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
