who ever wrote this shit about cliques is a antisocial asshole and people like this should fuck off. Paddling is all about inviting and encouraging other to join the sport. People like the writer make this sport a hard one to get into for beginner and intermediate paddlers. Yes shit is dangerous and theres alot of risk but getting clique is bullshit. It gives the sport a bad name from the more skilled paddlers that should be using there status to help people out instead of excluding them.

I was the editor who inserted cliques. Although they may not be desirable, it is a documented phenomenon in high risk sport, and I felt it warranted mention in this circumstance. Heard.james (talk) 13:08, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As someone who picked up the sport recently, I think this is highly incorrect. Or at least has been in my experience. Unless this phenomenon has been well-documented in this specific sport/community, you should probably leave it out. It may have been documented in other high risk sports, but that article does not reference anything related to creeking. You just look rather foolish for extrapolating that sort of information.

Its called a "roostertail" not a chickenhead. Ive creeked for 5 years and have never heard the term chickenhead. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.118.91.38 (talk) 02:41, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
