Notability
[edit]It has been suggested that this topic does not meet the notability criteria. I argue that it meets the following criteria: "A company, corporation, organization, team, religion, group, product, or service is notable if it has been the subject of coverage in secondary sources." The article cites a newspaper obituary of its co-founder Kay Canter which says that Cranks has been seen as a major factor in the spread of vegetarianism in recent decades. It also cites a Guardian article about the closure of the restaurant. Marshall46 19:36, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
This article talk page was automatically added with {{WikiProject Food and drink}} banner as it falls under Category:Restaurants or one of its subcategories. - Upgraded to mid-importance because the topic is "reasonably notable within the field of food and drink aficionados without necessarily being famous or very notable by the greater community". The brand survives in packaged food marketed by Nando's in UK supermarkets. Marshall46 (talk) 08:30, 12 June 2009 (UTC)
Assessment
[edit]I've re-assessed this as start-class, because it lacks important information about the structure or food. Its only section is on history.
