Knives Out?

[edit]

Hi I had added Knives Out as a film example, but it got removed. @Tacyarg May I ask why it doesn't qualify? It seems pretty light hearted to me and the plot is centered around a murder mystery. Violence etc. are not core to the movie at all.

Can you give any examples from films that qualify? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:A472:C303:0:E6F4:23DA:15D1:5155 (talk) 13:48, 17 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Examples

[edit]

The "Notable Examples" section could probably use a look by people more familiar with the genre's history. I have removed the "Where Have/Has My ___ Gone?” series from the list, after consulting Google, Amazon, WorldCat, LibraryThing, and Goodreads, and not being able to find any evidence for their existence (or that of author "Waldorf Z. Brimmell"). — Preceding unsigned comment added by Joecipsurprise (talkcontribs) 19:10, 12 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. I'd like to discuss the exclusion, or possible inclusion, of Erich Alauzen's novels, and Rosemary Bartell, as written by IP user 196.178.94.232.

I have removed the addition twice, predicated on two beliefs: first, that the inclusion is not supported whatsoever by any corroborating evidence, such as a source or citation; and, second, that the author, Erich Alauzen, while no doubt a fine writer, lacks a Wikipedia article here on English Wikipedia, and, thus, the inclusion of his character would be granting notability and visibility where it might not otherwise warrant it.

I have reached out to 196.178.94.232 for comment, and would like to hear their opinion. — Javert2113 (talk; please ping me when you reply) 22:46, 9 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
