I will review this article. Thank you. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 08:21, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
- Comments
- "Narayan Kamble (played by Vira Sathidar)" — Can be simply "Narayan Kamble (Vira Sathidar)"
- Done.
- "Abetting" might sound a tad complicated to readers. Try "encouraging" or "assisting".
- Done.
- "curious to discover how a real courtroom would be" — This sounds quite odd. This might make readers think that he never saw a courtroom before in his life. Can be clarified a bit more clearly both in the lead and the article's body. I have made a few tweaks in the body regarding this. As I said, do clarify.
- Tweaked a little. The reference says that he "thought how it must be in a real courtroom" after watching a courtroom drama on tv.
- "who protests through his folk music" — Against what?
- Rephrased.
- "He is arrested on the charge of abetment of suicide of Vasudev Pawar, a manhole worker who allegedly committed suicide after being influenced by one of Kamble's protest songs." — Too many "of"s. The word "suicide" appears in close proximity. Reword the sentence, maybe something like "He is arrested on the charge of prompting Vasudev Pawar, a manhole worker, to committed suicide after being influenced by one of Kamble's protest songs."
- Done
- Wikilink Goyamari.
- It's fictional.
- "He is later attacked by some Goymaris." — Who is attacked? Kamble or Vora? If so, how badly bruised was the victim?
- Fixed.
- "He also says that the witness who testified against Kamble is a stock witness who has been testifying in several other cases." — How does Vora find this out?
- It's not shown in the film, only explanation is that Vora might have investigated.
- Does the seditious camps charge occur immediately after this suicide case is resolved? Do clarify.
- Yes, I'm afraid this one is also not clarified. He is shown getting arrested just a few minutes (days) after Kamble is released.
- "He was arrested and tried, but was released in 2016." — Why? Lack of evidence? Do clarify.
- Done.
- "The action against activist singers of Kabir Kala Manch on allegations of links with the left wing also inspired the narrative of the film." — What is Kabir Kala Manch? The sentence can be rephrased as "The action against activist singers of ... Kabir Kala Manch on allegations of links with the left wing also inspired the film's narrative." The three dots represent what the Kabir Kala Manch is.
- I had wikilinked KKM. Anyway, done as suggested.
- For the quote, write "— Chaitanya Tamhane" as "— Chaitanya Tamhane in (year)"
- Done
- "to connect the cable" — What cable? Was he a electrician? lol.
- Fixed. It was actually the cable (wire) of the printing machine.
- "Vivek Gombre" — In the infobox and cast sections, you spell his surname as "Gomber". Which one is it?
- It's Gomber. Fixed now.
- "Tamhane had all the scenes outside the courtroom" — Do you mean he had "completed/drafted" the idea for the scenes that occur outside the courtroom? Do clarify.
- Rephrased.
- "taking part for several roles." — "taking part" or "auditioning for"? If its the latter, change it to the latter.
- Done
- Wikilink sync sound and still frames.
- Linked and rephrased.
- "on an average and as many as 60 takes" — Doesn't quite make sense. Do clarify.
- Rephrased.
- Does any article say that Sathidar was a Naxalite or was it just that the Anti-Terrorism Squad might mistake him for a Naxalite? Do clarify.
- Done
- "Court also has elements of dark humour." — Can you elaborate on this rather than just stating it.
- Done, hopefully.
- "He also noted the contrasting lives of Vora and Nutan, where one lives alone, speaks fluent English, drives a car; the other has a family, does not speak fluent English and uses public transport." — What does Rangan actually say here? Do elaborate a bit.
- Rangan's analysis is too long, but have expanded a bit. Hope its fine. Yashthepunisher (talk) 14:55, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
I'll look at the rest tomorrow. — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 04:43, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- Drive-by comments: Does the film qualify as a satire? If so, please add it to the category Category:Indian satirical films. Since the protagonist is a protest singer, you must wikilink that in the plot (I've done that in the lead). The "Casting and filming" section needs to be split since it is too large. Also, you must change the poster caption to "Theatrical release poster" since it shows the Indian release date (17 April) and is therefore not an international poster. Whether the film was nominated for Oscars or not, it must be mentioned in the lead that it was India's official submission for the Oscars. You may not have to mention it didn't make the final shortlist. Besides, do you think this film belongs in the category Category:Indian films without songs? --Kailash29792 (talk) 05:56, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- It can be called that, as the film is a satire on Indian judiciary and has some portions of dry humour. I personally don't think it borders the 'without song' category as there are songs that Vira Sathidar sings in the film. But they are without dubbing, auto tune or background score. Rest is done per your suggestions. As per the oscar bit, I had removed it after Reidgreg had questioned its relevance. Yashthepunisher (talk) 15:05, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- Another: Pradeep Joshi, Usha Bane and Shirish Pawar's roles are not sourced anywhere in the article. They must be, to comply with WP:FILMCAST. --Kailash29792 (talk) 15:49, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- I'd be curious at the reasoning why the Oscar submission must be included in the lead, distracting from the many notable awards it actually won. – Reidgreg (talk) 18:10, 4 March 2018 (UTC)
- Because the Oscar submission is a significant thing, considering the Oscars is the world's biggest award ceremony. Even a FA like Taare Zameen Par and a GA like Barfi! mention them as being Oscar submissions, despite them not making the final shortlist. Yash, the lead mentions Court as a multilingual but the languages spoken are not mentioned. Perhaps you may want to write something like The film, principally in Marathi, contains additional dialogue in Hindi, Gujarati and English. ----Kailash29792 (talk) 04:42, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
- Kailash29792 I second Reidgreg here. It'll simply distract the reader from several prestigious awards Court has won. It wasn't "nominated" for Oscars, it was just submitted by India for the nominations. We tend to pat our backs and over-hype these things. Also, mentioning TZP and Barfi! is simply WP:OSE. The rest is done as per your suggestions. Thank you. Yashthepunisher (talk) 12:00, 5 March 2018 (UTC)

Here are the remaining ones:-
- Hong Kong Asian Film Festival and FICUNAM International Film Festival are not present in the sources listed. I may have overlooked them. Do check them to be sure.
- "and a "deeply humanistic account"" — account of what?
- Wikilink the publications in the references on their first instance of usage (Example: Ref 1 is from The Times of India. Wikilink that and that only in case of The Times of India. Similarly Ref 4 is from Rediff.com. Wikilink that and that only in case of Rediff.com.)
