Convention on the Rights of the Child violation
[edit]This article mentions, under the U.S. section, one specific anti-recruitment stance: that JROTC and other similar paramilitary youth programs may be in violation of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child. However, the U.S. has not signed this convention. That would therefore make said point inaccurate and also rather silly, no? Forgive me if that doesn't warrant removal, just pointing it out. 24.99.120.119 (talk) 03:31, 3 November 2009 (UTC)
Imbalance in article
[edit]This page now at least has some history to counter-recruitment, since I added the information from Cortright. But it's still badly biased towards U.S. (anti-)military counter-recruitment, leaving off not only actions against corporations that have been part of the global justice movement, but any and all actions in countries other than the U.S. Kalkin 21:09, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
Hi all. I've tried to add some items in the criticism section. Hope we can balance things out. The decoy 01:36, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Hello again all. I've made some edits to the Canada section, as someone had posted information about York University without any way of verifying it. I did some research and was able to track down one link. The article has been re-written to reflect the verifiable information in the article. It was also badly written so I edited it. Dec 27 2008. Lack of criticism to counter-recruitment
[edit]This page is severely biased as do not show any criticism to counter-recruitment --81.202.158.49 09:04, 4 August 2007 (UTC)
It is true, this page does not show any criticism to counter recruitment, it is also true it doesn't say anywhere that counter-recruitment is a good thing, or implies this is in anyway.
The article is not biased, it is NPOV. - Ryan 1711 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.47.6.16 (talk) 15:28, 1 September 2007 (UTC)
This article is completely biased. Referring to the mission in Afghanistan as "occupation" is clearly a POV position. The decoy 00:40, 30 October 2007 (UTC)decoy
The article is also rife with weasel words. Removed some "weasel words" from the Canadian section. The decoy (talk) 23:48, 17 November 2007 (UTC)
- Opposition to militarism and fascism is always positive. The military action - state sanctioned murder - for decades has wrought the most deaths and suffering, for personal gain of a select few. The amount of funding and propaganda for pro militarism vastly outweighs any and all counter recruitment.

Fair use rationale for Image:You-can't-be-all-that-you-can-be-if-you're-dead.jpg
[edit]Image:You-can't-be-all-that-you-can-be-if-you're-dead.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

[edit]These articles talk about the same "Recruitment in the Military" with Pro's & Con's which can be put into the same article. Mr Taz (talk) 19:27, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
