Examples
[edit]I don't think it's necessary to list every song we can think of that has a count off. However, some of the more unusual ones are nice to list. If anyone can find a reference for the following, feel free to add it to the article:
- "Four Little Diamonds" by Electric Light Orchestra (1983)
- Jeff Lynne begins the song by implying a count ("after four..."), before foregoing the count and simply shouting "four!" and the song begins.

Misc. list
[edit]Here's some other songs with count offs that may or may not be worthy of inclusion:
- "Don't Bring Me Down" by Electric Light Orchestra (1979)
- "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" by The Beatles (1966)
- "Yer Blues" by The Beatles (1968)
It's slightly odd that 3 of the current examples (and two of the additional suggestions above) are by The Beatles and two by John Lennon. Should we spread the examples around more? Bondegezou (talk) 14:50, 7 June 2013 (UTC)
- Fine by me; they're only Beatles ones because I had them to hand at the time of writing the article! matt (talk) 10:00, 9 June 2013 (UTC)
