Clarification

[edit]

After reading this article, I find the third paragraph to be misleading. I am speaking specifically about the following sentence: "Its primary function being the quick and accurate analysis of blood cultures." I have been working in a medical laboratory for two years and have never seen a Coulter Counter used in microbiology (blood culture). Were you under the impression blood cultures have something to do with complete blood counts? Counting blood cells is the science of Hematology, and is a whole seperate part of the laboratory from microbiology. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Totoroben (talkcontribs) 01:28, 6 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reasonable objection. Changed appropriately. --Elplatt (talk) 15:46, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

Coulter principle explains how the counter works and should be merged here. It's been tagged for a year but there was no discusion page. --Wtshymanski (talk) 21:50, 9 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
