Real estate values
[edit]The phrase "Cottesloe is Perth's second most expensive beachside, with City Beach to the north as the most expensive.", was recently deleted from the lead section on the grounds that it was impossible to verify. Whether the line is appropriate for the lead is a different matter, but surely these stats are available somewhere? Like REIWA for example? - Gobeirne 14:33, 13 February 2007 (UTC)
- REIWA suggests the reverse order. It should be noted though that from looking through individual sales, not all of these homes are actually beachfront, and some of the ones on the hills behind City Beach actually inflate that suburb's value, and some of Cottesloe's most expensive sales border Peppermint Grove in the eastern part. This leaves the question of Waterman's Bay further north, which has almost the same value but is a much smaller, almost entirely beachfront suburb. There was an argument a while back as to whether REIWA's or domain's estimates were even encyclopaedic as they exclude private sales and may arguably have an interest in promotions. Photographs
[edit]There are five photographs here, all of the same section of beach at Cottesloe. Surely there is more to Cottesloe than this patch of sand? —Preceding unsigned comment added by John beta (talk • contribs) 14:31, 28 October 2010 (UTC)
