Article is self-contradictory
[edit]The second paragraph says that cost-of-revenue excludes indirect costs, citing as specific examples depreciation and salaries:
> Indirect costs (e.g. depreciation, salaries paid to management or other fixed costs) are excluded.
Then the example paragraph, taken "from the annual report of an internet-based company", explicitly states it is including depreciation and staff salaries in its cost of revenue calculation:
> Our cost of revenue... include... facility and server equipment depreciation, ...and salaries, benefits, and share-based compensation for employees
No reader is going to be able to make sense of this flat contradiction unless they are already familiar with the topic. At a minimum, the example seems very poorly chosen. 2002:44A8:A14E:E472:64EB:82BE:42DF:632F (talk) 05:02, 30 October 2024 (UTC)
