Cortes (miniseries) → Cortés (miniseries) – This is a last name of someone who was born in Spain, his accent should be respected. Bradford ✉ 19:51, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
- The most recent source cited in the article says that the series is "currently known as the Untitled Cortés and Moctezuma Project"? So diacritics would be the least of my concerns. Colin M (talk) 04:33, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- Support move for now, but pending Untitled Cortés and Moctezuma Project In ictu oculi (talk) 23:09, 19 October 2019 (UTC)
- Seems like the series hasn't even started filming yet, so isn't it premature to have an article? PC78 (talk) 08:09, 20 October 2019 (UTC)
- Follow what reliable sources say. I moved the article from the version with the diacritical because at the time the sources in the article used the non-diacritical version of the name. As for 'respect', this is not an article about a person, but about a television show; the title will reflect that of the show. BlackcurrantTea (talk) 09:41, 23 October 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. Cortes is the title of an American miniseries, not a Spanish one, and all of the English-language media write-ups regarding the miniseries refer to it as "Cortes", not as "Cortés". To be sure, English Wikipedia has an entry bearing the main title header, Hernán Cortés, but the title of the American miniseries does not use the accent and the subject of the Wikipedia article is the miniseries, not the historical person. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 03:47, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
