  • "She became president of its youth committee", "in November 1945 became a member of the House of Representatives for the VDB" Elected or appointed? (The lead has the same issue). The article definitely overuses "became" when you could be more specific about how the position was obtained.
  • I agree. Where I could I changed it to use appointed or elected.
  • "member of its management team in 1933" Management team? that sounds like 21 st century business jargon, but maybe it's a literal translation from Dutch?
  • Yes, that is my poor translation. Changed.
  • "In 1948, she was successful, together with Wim de Kort, in securing universal suffrage for the Dutch colonies Suriname and Curaçao" Excatly what was their role? Did they propose the legislation?
