Name
[edit]There are no streets or building in Edmonton named Corona, to the best of my knowledge, so where does the name come from? I know it has nothing to do with girly Mexican beer. I know corona is Latin for crown. Does it have anything to do with royalty? I know Chuck and Di where in Edmonton the year after it opened. --Kevlar (talk • contribs) 20:15, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
- Ironic, as soon I did some googling the asnwers came to light as the Edmonton Journal had an editorial about this just a few days ago. --Kevlar (talk • contribs) 20:22, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

Requested move 29 April 2018
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the move request was: moved as requested and new disambiguation page created (since not all listings are appropriate for inclusion at the Corona (disambiguation) dab page), per the discussion below. Dekimasuよ! 18:44, 6 May 2018 (UTC)
Corona station → Corona station (Edmonton) – There is already Corona (LIRR station), which is pending renaming to Corona station (LIRR), so disambiguation should be added per WP:CANSTATION. Daybeers (talk) 08:09, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
- Support. There's no primary topic in this case.[1] - Station1 (talk) 22:19, 29 April 2018 (UTC)

- Perhaps "per WP:USSTATION" could be replaced by "per WP:D" in the rationale here, since the station is in Canada. Dekimasuよ! 16:52, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- Good catch - didn't notice that. The proposal also meets the guideline at WP:CANSTATION. - Station1 (talk) 17:48, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- Done. Didn't notice that either! Is (Edmonton) good, or should (Alberta) be used? –Daybeers (talk) 17:57, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- Edmonton is good per "City" under WP:CANSTATION#Disambiguation. - Station1 (talk) 18:23, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

- Support. This isn't the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, and this is the appropriate disambiguation per WP:CANSTATION. Corona station should point to the dab page Corona (disambiguation) or be converted to a dab page.--Cúchullain t/c 18:58, 2 May 2018 (UTC)
- I think converting to a dab page is better since the three things called "Corona station" aren't that likely to be searched for under Corona and they would get lost on the long and messy Corona dab page. I notice Corona Station (pastoral lease) isn't even listed on the Corona dab page. Station1 (talk) 23:50, 4 May 2018 (UTC)
