2008 Crash

[edit]

On January 21, 2008 two private planes collided in Corona killing five people, including one on the ground. The collision occured about a mile away from the Corona Municipal Airport above Serfas Club Drive. The crash wreckage left debris strewn along a commerical strip near the 91 Freeway. Eyewitnesses claim to see an explosion in the air and two different bodies fall from the sky. The aircraft involved were both single-engine Cessnas, a two-seat Cessna 150 and a four-seat Cessna 172. Investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board, local Corona Police Detectives as well as the Federal Aviation Administration began their probe the following day. As of January 23 a cause for the accident is yet to be determined.

The crash began a debate about the safety of the Corona Municipal Airport as it does not have an operating Control Tower. The city of Corona has had seven fatal aircraft accidents since 1998. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.22.92.159 (talk) 10:11, 22 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Facilities and aircraft

[edit]

It says that "90% single engine, 6% multi-engine, 2% helicopters and 1% ultralight" and sceince 90+6+2+1=99% where is the other 1 percent? I'll try to fix this but it might not come out with the same numbers. Sign My Guestbook! User:Sumsum2010 01:35, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
