[edit]Some of the information in this article about Hitler's snub of the athletes contradicts the article on Jesse Owens.
Curious about this sentence: "In 1936 Johnson was one of 19 African Americans at the Berlin Olympics, where he won the gold." Most sources indicate the US Olympic team featured 18 (not 19) Black athletes. Is this just a typo, or is the implication that there was a white athlete on the team who immigrated to the US from an African country? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jsmathematics (talk • contribs) 19:53, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
Birth-date
[edit]The Olympic site and the sports reference site give Aug 21st, the USATF site gives Aug. 28th. Wiseprincebambi (talk) 04:58, 22 August 2014 (UTC)
